“H2 Asset Inc. is a dynamic and forward-thinking company dedicated to pioneering transformative solutions. Our comprehensive services are designed to enhance the strategic and operational aspects of organizations while simultaneously tackling the pressing challenges presented by climate change. With a commitment to empowering leaders, harnessing AI and ML technologies, and promoting sustainable practices, we are at the forefront of driving positive change in the fight against climate change and the development of resilient, environmentally responsible communities.”
At the heart of H2 Asset Inc. stands its founder and CEO, Mr. Albert Chesney. Albert is not just a seasoned professional with results-driven acumen but also possesses a deep sense of emotional intelligence that makes him a true leader. The seeds of H2 Asset Inc. were sown as “SmartFM Consultancy and Management Services” in 2019. Albert, drawing from his rich 25-year experience across various Caribbean territories and esteemed institutions such as the Central Bank of Barbados, ExxonMobil, and Bank of Guyana, noted a concerning trend in the region. Both governmental and private entities were grappling with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) challenges, affecting old and new buildings alike. The repercussions were significant: unexpected relocations, escalating risks, safety and liability concerns, and, most critically, a decline in productivity and building efficiency.
These challenges, Albert discerned, stemmed from a fundamental misapprehension of Facilities Management and its vital role in enhancing an organization’s triple bottom line, especially productivity. This oversight led to Facilities Management units often being sidelined, deprived of essential resources, technologies, respect, and even awareness of their broader significance. The intricate interplay between Facilities Management and climate change remained largely unacknowledged by many institutional stakeholders, including the very professionals in the field.
With his expertise as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from the International Facility Management Association (USA) and an inherent passion for the field, Albert embarked on a transformative journey. His aim was clear: reverse this unsustainable trajectory that was eroding valuable resources daily due to inadequate skills, systems, misguided decisions, and avoidable environmental crises. This mission was even more pressing for Caribbean nations already navigating economic challenges, climate threats, and more.
Today, we take immense pride in H2 Asset Inc.’s achievements. We’ve successfully hosted four events across three Caribbean countries, including Barbados, Grenada, and Guyana, and offered consultancy services to notable clients like the Grenada Electricity Services (GRENLEC). The accolades and testimonials from these engagements echo our commitment and efficacy.
As H2 Asset Inc. evolves, our ambitions have broadened, encompassing national, regional, and global vistas. With renewed vigor and innovation, we’re poised to integrate cutting-edge AI and ML technologies to offer our clients sustainable solutions to pressing climate challenges. Beyond that, our goal is to catalyze a transformative movement, cultivating leaders who can disrupt the status quo, unleash regional talent and productivity, and champion sustainable strategies across all facets of the building cycle — from design and construction to operations, management, and even disposal.
To be the Caribbean’s leading catalyst for climate-conscious transformation, delivering resilient, sustainable, and innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Leveraging a global network of climate professionals and advanced technologies, we empower nations to design and implement bankable climate projects, enhance capacity, and foster sustainable development across education, construction, and infrastructure management.
With a steadfast mission to lead the transformative climate solution and transformation of the built environment, H2 Asset companies are dedicated to helping Small Island Developing States (SIDS) find cost-effective and innovative solutions to climate change challenges. Our focus is on providing sustainable, energy-efficient, and resilient infrastructure that meets the unique needs of these regions. We aim to facilitate access to climate finance, ensuring that our clients can achieve their climate goals. Through collaborative partnerships and a holistic approach, we strive to influence industry standards and inspire positive change globally.
Globally, buildings contribute approximately 29% of total carbon emissions, highlighting their significant role in the fight against climate change. In the Caribbean, this challenge is even more acute.
Our infrastructure faces unique pressures:
Without a shift in approach, these challenges will continue to erode progress and expose communities to escalating risks.
At H2 Asset Inc., we see resilience as more than storm proofing it’s about creating infrastructure that adapts, performs, and sustains in the face of climate and economic realities.
Our holistic approach embeds sustainability and resilience throughout the building ecosystem:
This approach doesn’t just reduce emissions it ensures that Caribbean buildings are hurricane-resilient, safe for occupants, economically efficient, and productive for communities.
Resilience requires shared responsibility across the building ecosystem:
✅ Governments crafting bold climate policies and prioritizing adaptive infrastructure.
✅ Developers and Engineers embedding sustainability and resilience into every design and build decision.
✅ Facilities Managers and Operators transforming FM from a cost center into a strategic climate and productivity lever.
✅ Communities and Private Sector Leaders embracing smarter technologies and climate-conscious practices.
At H2 Asset Inc., we’re uniting every stakeholder to deliver a new standard for Caribbean infrastructure resilient, low-carbon, and future-ready.
🌍 This is not just an initiative. It’s a movement.
