At the heart of H2 Asset Inc. stands its founder and CEO, Mr. Albert Chesney. Albert is not just a seasoned professional with results-driven acumen but also possesses a deep sense of emotional intelligence that makes him a true leader. The seeds of H2 Asset Inc. were sown as “SmartFM Consultancy and Management Services” in 2019. Albert, drawing from his rich 25-year experience across various Caribbean territories and esteemed institutions such as the Central Bank of Barbados, ExxonMobil, and Bank of Guyana, noted a concerning trend in the region. Both governmental and private entities were grappling with Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) challenges, affecting old and new buildings alike. The repercussions were significant: unexpected relocations, escalating risks, safety and liability concerns, and, most critically, a decline in productivity and building efficiency.
These challenges, Albert discerned, stemmed from a fundamental misapprehension of Facilities Management and its vital role in enhancing an organization’s triple bottom line, especially productivity. This oversight led to Facilities Management units often being sidelined, deprived of essential resources, technologies, respect, and even awareness of their broader significance. The intricate interplay between Facilities Management and climate change remained largely unacknowledged by many institutional stakeholders, including the very professionals in the field.
With his expertise as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from the International Facility Management Association (USA) and an inherent passion for the field, Albert embarked on a transformative journey. His aim was clear: reverse this unsustainable trajectory that was eroding valuable resources daily due to inadequate skills, systems, misguided decisions, and avoidable environmental crises. This mission was even more pressing for Caribbean nations already navigating economic challenges, climate threats, and more.
Today, we take immense pride in H2 Asset Inc.’s achievements. We’ve successfully hosted four events across three Caribbean countries, including Barbados, Grenada, and Guyana, and offered consultancy services to notable clients like the Grenada Electricity Services (GRENLEC). The accolades and testimonials from these engagements echo our commitment and efficacy.
As H2 Asset Inc. evolves, our ambitions have broadened, encompassing national, regional, and global vistas. With renewed vigor and innovation, we’re poised to integrate cutting-edge AI and ML technologies to offer our clients sustainable solutions to pressing climate challenges. Beyond that, our goal is to catalyze a transformative movement, cultivating leaders who can disrupt the status quo, unleash regional talent and productivity, and champion sustainable strategies across all facets of the building cycle — from design and construction to operations, management, and even disposal.

In the vibrant and dynamic economic landscape of the Caribbean, understanding and implementing astute Facilities Management (FM) emerges as a pivotal keystone, intricately intertwined with the triumvirate foundation of an organization’s triple bottom line – People, Planet, and Profit. The “Why Initiative” of H2 Asset Inc. embarks on a journey to illuminate this critical path and foster a robust and sustainable operational environment for businesses and governmental bodies throughout the region.
Navigating through the Caribbean business milieu, where resource optimization is not just strategic but vital, a pronounced misperception of the FM profession has been observed. Business leaders, at times, inadvertently consign FM to the periphery, inadvertently welcoming increased risks, vulnerabilities emanating from litigation, health & safety concerns, and diminished productivity – all subtly eroding the organizational bottom line.
However, we believe in a future where preventive costs are not obfuscated within operational costs, but rather, recognized as strategic investments towards cultivating a proactive, resilient, and sustainable organizational culture. Reversing the prevailing trend is conceivable – it beckons leaders to embrace a more nuanced understanding of FM, to actualize its potential by integrating robust operations, and to invigorate their teams by building internal capacities.
Understanding “why” this shift is imperative pivots on recognizing the looming horizon where legal frameworks and evolving norms will necessitate businesses to recalibrate their operations. Adopting stringent safety standards, unlocking untapped productivity, amplifying efficiency, and realizing tangible ROI are not just aspirational goals but will become operational mandates. The inherent and undiscovered potentials within FM today are vast and await exploration.
In this context, H2 Asset Inc. emerges as your expert partner, navigating you through these transformational journeys towards enhanced sustainability and operational efficacy. We are committed to assisting organizations in developing internal capacities, crafting change leaders, and enabling them to wield their resources judiciously to carve out a competitive edge, especially in an economic environment witnessing resource contraction.
We invite you to embark on this journey with H2 Asset Inc., not just as a service provider but as your strategic partner, ensuring that your voyage towards adopting and integrating sustainable solutions is both cost-effective and intrinsically aligned with your organizational ethos and objectives.
Together, let’s build a future where our collective actions forge a sustainable, efficient, and resilient Caribbean.
